The Story

The worst thing on the mountain followed him up.

Brian Barnes tells himself this time is different.

One cabin. One week. One last shot at drying out before there is nothing left of him worth saving. But the shadows in the cabin do not stay in the corners. The sheriff at the door smiles like he knows something Brian does not. And the dead keep him company now, more of them every night.

Brian came to White Deer Mountain to face his demons. He never asked which ones would show up.

Written by the film's screenwriter and star, Dry Blood expands the acclaimed movie into a novel, with new depths the screen could only hint at. And printed in the same volume, right after the novel: the complete original screenplay. One book, both versions of the story. The one you saw, and the one you didn't.

About the first edition. The pre-sale run was signed and hand-numbered by Clint Carney, printed with an embossed collector cover in a format you will not find on Amazon. Those copies are no longer sold online. The few that are left travel with Clint to his in-person events, and when they are gone the first edition is gone for good.
